Course Guidelines
Course Objectives:
Climate change, a topic that includes global warming, refers to the relatively abrupt shift in weather patterns that has occurred during the last few decades. This online course examines the following aspects of global warming issue:
- The facts / myths about global warming and the many causes of it
- The economical aspects of global warming
- The political aspects of fixing global warming
Multiple cases are presented in each one of the above themes and each case will have multiple perspectives. Some of the sources used here may have multiple perspectives and be included in multiple cases.

- Prioritize the urgent actions to be taken in the next ten years to combat the phenomenon
- Construct critical thinking to deal with and evaluate multi-faceted dilemmas in the future

- Initial Survey: Please complete the initial survey before starting this course. This will establish a baseline on your previous knowledge about global warming.
- Blog Posts: A blog is setup for this course with multiple blog posts. You should have at least 2 comments for each blog post. It is recommended that you post one comment before the start of the class and a second post after you have researched the blog subject. There is one post for each theme to help keep your thoughts organized. Make sure you read other students' comments reply to them if you wish.
- Final Survey: The Final Survey will become available at the end of this course. Please start by retaking the initial survey first and then complete the final survey. Try to answer as questions as best as you can.
- Final Project: As a final project you are asked to write a two page paper covering certain aspects of global warming and making coming up with a list of urgent steps to be taken by all countries to combat global warming.

There is another page under Resources tab called Movies to watch. On that page you can watch award winning movies related to climate change and global warming.
To keep you informed and up to date, the latest news regarding global warming are collected and presented under In The News menu tab. New materials may be added to these sections during the course, so please make sure you check them often.
